2011 THEME: “Revolution”

All songs submitted should be about Revolution! Read on:

Revolt in the Middle East. Transformation in Africa. Violence in Latin America. Transition in Asia. The world is changing....Hostility in Congress. Crisis in publishing. Fragmentation of audiences. Digitization replacing human contact. Apathy in youth. Our lives are changing..

Revolution is everywhere. To document it, comment upon it, bring it close to heart and fill it with life is an artist’s most essential purpose. This year, we want to hear about your revolution. It can be across the ocean, in your backyard or in your own head, as long as it captures that raw reality that is revolution.

"Last night I attended "Beyond Measure." What a fantastic concert! Who would ever think of taking songs from contemporary singer-songwriters and turning them into choral works? It was not only an intersting idea, but a highly successful one leading to an immensely enjoyable performance. I have been involved in choral singing since college (Carnegie Mellon Cameron Choir, Temple University Singers, Singing City, Mastersingers, and the Wayne Oratorio Society), so this concert was especially appealing to me. Thank you for a great evening and for introducing me to so many wonderful artists. Please do this again!"

"What an amazing Show!  I am so glad to have been part of it."

"Beyond Measure was truly beyond expectations. As a participating songwriter, I really can't thank you enough for the exposure, the learning, the recognition, the networking, and everything afforded by the overall experience. The venue was fantastic. The choirs were amazing. I LOVED the choir who performed my song." Bonnie Warren
